Email Developer
Merkle Inc. (June 2010-November 2011)
Member of the team responsible for taking HTML/sliced images and importing it into our custom tool for deploying email messages, then ensuring that all variables have been properly setup and any dynamic content is being pulled through.
After that, proofs are sent and rounds of changes ensue until the email is approved internally and externally. A final QA is done before the email is deployed to customers.
Recently, I’ve been pulled onto a new client that uses ExactTarget as their platform for sending and have been focused 100% on learning/mastering that platform.
Web Content Developer II
Direct Supply, Inc. (July 2008 - June 2010 )
This team was responsible for every externally- and internally-facing website in the company, the largest of which is the purchasing site where customers log in and purchase any products needed for their eldercare facility.
It was here I learned Adobe Flex and Microsoft SharePoint 2003 and 2007 along with beginning my journey down the road of email marketing using a tool called Lyris.
XML Developer
WHITTMANHART (June 2008 - July 2008)
This was a temporary contract position with WHITTMANHART (now Band Digital) where I was tasked with ensuring the XML database for the 2009 Harley Davidson website was correct and populated with information on each model, accessory and feature of every bike in the lineup in 8 different language.
Web & Technology Developer
Assurant Health (November 2006 - June 2008 )
Maintained and supported the corporate intranet site (built in Microsoft Content Management Server 2002 — the precursor to SharePoint) that was used by the various call centers for their daily mission-critical needs ranging from setting up new policies, researching claims and all aspects of the underwriting process.
Web Content Developer Intern
Direct Supply, Inc. (March 2005 - November 2006)
My first professional job and the internship version of the Web Content Developer II position held 1.5 years later. The responsibilities were the same: maintain all of the externally- and internally-facing company websites, the main focus being on the ordering site.
I was also given some free reign to learn new technologies and apply them to the existing sites in ways that would benefit the end users.
Interactive Campaign Manager
Merkle Inc. (November 2011 - present)
Taking my in-depth and extensive knowledge of the two email platforms used at Merkle, I moved into the next role up which deals with managing the assets and direction from the client which I then pass on to the Email Development team so they can effectively and correct create, QA and deploy all the campaigns we send.
