Fabric Swatch Viewer

This tool was born from a need for a better fabric ordering process on the company’s website, and an easier way for the team that handles swatch requests to get and requests and respond to them. It is built in Adobe Flex and was my first attempt at ever using that platform.
This is actually the second version of the application. The first was a test-only iteration that underwent massive changes before ever being released.
The tool allows customers to choose the type of fabric, the collection name and then view each swatch in that collection. Double-clicking a swatch enlarges the image. A maximum of 10 swatches are able to be placed into the cart and then the order can be submitted. Sadly, I was unable to get IT to work with me to integrate with the database to pull in the customer’s contact information automatically, so it has to be manually entered.
After the order is submitted, a text print-out of all the information is emailed to another team who then fulfills the order.
